Frequently Asked Questions
What is TFP/TFCD?
TFP/TFCD is 'Time For Prints'/'Time For CD.' What this means is that I don't charge for my time and the model doesn't charge for his/hers. No money exchanges hands. The model gets pictures for their time. The photographer gets pictures for their time. And, since I have a SFX artist, she gets pics for her time if she's used for the shoot.

Why is your logo on the pictures?
My logo (watermark) is on the pictures because it's an attempt to keep people from stealing my work and claiming it as their own. I know it's a distraction and takes away from the picture, but it's my work and I'm proud of it. I don't want someone coming along and taking it after I put a lot of time and work into it. I have copies of my work without the watermark.

Do you sell your pictures
Yes. If someone has an interest in something I've done, I will consider selling it. I won't sell the copyright or usage rights, but I will sell the image.

What are private shoots?
Private shoots are, typically, where the client chooses the type of pictures (usually portrait), the location, the 'theme', the clothing, etc. and the photographer just shows up and takes the pictures.

Due to the fact that I get no long term return on private shoots, the fees for these are 25-50% higher than the rest. The client retains all rights and I can not use them in my portfolio or otherwise without permission. I do these on a per project basis. If you want pictures of you with your boyfriend, dog, best friend, etc, this is is most likely the category your session will fall under.

What is 'implied nudity?'
Where implied nudity is required for a shot, you will generally be asked to disrobe fully or partially. While the standard is subjective, a photographer will normally not reveal nipples or genitals in the photographs. In some cases, buttocks will be shown. The essence of implied nudity is that the photograph is suggestive but not revealing.

Where are the erotica, glamour, nude, implied nudity photos taken?
These are done either on location or in a studio. There may be an occasion where these can be done in a remote location. However, models are required to bring an escort with them. All changes of clothes will be supplied by the model.

What is artistic nudity?
Artistic nudity is a form of nudity that is quite tasteful in the nature of poses, but is still revealing. Photographers who do this often work in black and white or with unique lighting scenarios. Generally speaking, these are the types of photos that are intended for gallery display rather than in magazines.

What are alternative shoots?
These are shoots that involve alternative lifestyles: BDSM, fetish, etc. Unless otherwise noted, the client provides all clothing.

Why do you not all children at the shoots?
Children are only allowed at the photo shoots IF they are going to be in the actual photos. I do not allow them on location otherwise because they tend to become a distraction to not only the model, but myself.

Children are not allowed on location at the themed shoots because some of the imagery may be disturbing to them. I do not want to be the cause of their nightmares or future need for therapy.
