Hello and welcome! We thank you for your interest in joining the Vampyre Support & Information Society. Please be advised that we have made some changes in our admissions policy.

Effective immediately all prospective members must first join our public e-list BlackRozes. You may find the main page here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/blackrosez/.

After a mandatory two month period spent posting to the BlackRozes group, you may petition to join the Vampyre Support & Information Society by filling out the application below. Your participation level, conduct and moderation status will be considered along with your application.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. No exceptions. If an applicant is 17, they must wait until their 18th birthday until they will even be considered for membership. Members caught lying about their age will be banned permanently from the Vampyre Support & Information Society.

Applications not accompanied by a BIO & a picture will not be considered.

All fields marked require are required and should they not be filled in, will be sent back to the applicant with a notice of "incomplete application". You must resubmit.

Applications displaying any form of a bad attitude will be deleted. We are a DRAMA FREE group. Bad attitude on the application shows us that you wear the crown of a Drama King/Queen and we just do not want you with us if that's the case. You will not receive a response.

Applications answered using txt/chat/netspeak will be deleted. You will not receive a response.

Please use proper grammar and spelling. If English is not your first language, make a note of it in your bio. Please learn to use the Spell Checker feature provided by your email program.

Please allow 4 weeks for a response, though we will generally try to respond sooner. If your application is accepted, you may be contacted for an online interview (or, possibly an e-mail interview). Those who do an online interview need to have one of the following messenger services: Yahoo! Instant Messenger, MSN messenger, ICQ messenger.

All members are required to be active within the Vampyre Support & Information Society. If you only join to lurk, you will find yourself moved over to the public e-list where you may lurk all you want. Members are expected to participate in discussions, research projects, etc.. The changes being made are being done to prevent the "dead weight" issue that arises on many e-lists.

The Vampyre Support & Information Society only requires its members to devote 1 hour per week. That breaks down to less than 20 minutes per day (without weekends).

Please note that we do clean out bouncing and non-posting members on a "as needed" basis. Should you be having issues and you will not be posting for a while, you are required to let the council know so that you will not be deleted. Should you disappear for an extended period of time and your email starts bouncing and you have NOT notified the Council, you will be considered "incommunicado" and you will be deleted. The Council email is located on the "Contact Us" page on the main Vampyre Support & Information Society website.

The Vampyre Support & Information Society does not discriminate against race, sex, religion and/or sexual preference and will not tolerate flaming of anyone because of the preceding attributes.
