Full Version realMYST Patch
A patch is coming for those of you that are having trouble with the full version of realMYST. Below is the letter posted on the Riven Lyst by RAWA (Richard A. Watson), an employee at Cyan.
"Several of you have written the Lyst regarding problems you are having with realMYST. If you haven't done so already, use the web boards that were set up for the realMYST test, to give us as much info as you can (your hardware specs, what's happening, etc.) to help us track down the problems you're having. By putting your info on the "technically speaking..." board, the programmers here at Cyan can attempt to address the issues that you find.

We sent a patch, addressing many of the problems that we've been notified about, to Mattel. It has passed through their QA Department, and should be available soon."
If you are having troubles with realMYST please post your problems at the realMYST Test Web Boards. Curently a patch is not available but it should be coming soon and it will be posted here when it is available.

UPDATE 12.04.00: The realMYST patch (version 1.1) has been released by Mattel Interactive for the PC version of realMYST. This patch should solve the many problems that people have been finding with the game. The Mattel Interactive web site stated that, "This patch resolves several issues and adds or expands features within the program."

Many fans have wondered why the patch didn't come out sooner as they resolved many of the current problems with the realMYST test. The reason for this was that by the time that they had fixed the problems on the realMYST test, realMYST was already being prepared for shipping, so they were not able to fix the full version of realMYST in time. The full version patch was apparently created a week or two ago but it had to be approved by Mattel so that it would be legal.

The realMYST patch version 1.1 is now available and you can download it through Mattel by visiting the Mattel Support Page at http://www.mattelsupport.com/ and clicking on software updates.

If you are having continued troubles with realMYST please post your problems at the realMYST Web Boards.

Trailer
Cyan created a realMYST trailer that showed scenes from the game. The entire video was shown at the E3 game expo in May, but Cyan had rushed to prepare it for the expo and wanted to re-edit it before posting it online.

In response to avid fans who wished to see the video anyway, Cyan posted it for a few weeks on a hidden page at their site, available only to fans who solved the infamos Spyder puzzles. However, Cyan removed it after a fan site posted a direct link to the video, contrary to Spyder's instructions.

UPDATE 10.07.00: On 10.06.00 Cyan posted a new realMYST trailer on their web site, but it was only available from Cyan on that date and it was once again taken off the web. I am currently communicating with Cyan to see if it would be alright to post the trailer on MystSource.

UPDATE 10.13.00: I have recieved confirmation from RAWA (Richard A. Watson) at Cyan that said it is perfectly alright to post the new realMYST trailer on MystSource. To view the realMYST trailer click on the link below.
