HOW ACQUIRED:Traded from Cincinnati to Seattle with RHP Bobby Ayala for 2B Bret Boone and RHP Erik Hanson on Nov. 2, 1993.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE FAST FOOD? "BurgerMaster, the drive-ins in Seattle. They're solid. I like the TurkeyMaster there. And they have good shakes."
WHAT'S THE LAST MOVIE/VIDEO YOU RENTED? "'Aladdin.' I watched some of it with my kids."
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE OLYMPIC SPORT? "Ice Hockey. The whole 1980 Olympic experience was one of the greatest moments in American sports history."
WHICH OF YOUR TEAMMATES WOULD DO THE BEST ON SURVIVOR? "I've got to go with Ichiro. He can do anything. If he can survive on rice balls, he can survive on anything."
WHAT HOUSEHOLD CHORE DO YOU ABSOLUTELY HATE? "Doing the dishes. I just don't enjoy that at all."
WHAT SPORT DO YOU LIKE TO PLAY WHEN YOU'RE NOT PLAYING BASEBALL? "Probably golf, but I don't do much sporting stuff outside baseball."
WHAT'S YOUR BEST BASEBALL MOMENT? "Probably the one-game playoff in 1995 against California (now Anaheim). Just having the season come down to one game and having Randy Johnson on the mound. Top to bottom, it was unbelievable."

"JEOPARDY" or "THE WEAKEST LINK"? "That's a good one. I'll go with 'Jeopardy.' I like Alex Trebek. But I like watching 'The Weakest Link,' too. It's a solid show."

COLLEGE HOOPS or THE NBA? "The college game just has more enthusiastic fans. And they play in places like Cameron (Duke) and even The Barn (Minnesota) when I was there."

CELL PHONE or HOME PHONE? "I hate both phones. But it's impossible to live without a phone. I'll tell you, I'm not very good about returning calls."
U.S. OPEN GOLF or U.S. OPEN TENNIS? "The golf. I just prefer it over tennis."
READ THE PAPER or WATCH THE NEWS? "Watch the news. I can't read the sports pages, especially during the season."
BABE RUTH or JACKIE ROBINSON? "I won't take anything away from Babe Ruth, but the courage Jackie Robinson had to be the first and to make the statement he did was unbelievable. Not even talking about his stats, he did more for baseball than he did for the Dodgers. And the whole country owes Robinson for what he did."
CASH or CREDIT? "I like to pay by cash. I'm just old-fashioned, I guess."
SOUP or SALAD? "Salad, usually."
DINE OUT or TAKE OUT? "With four kids, we take out a lot. Take-out food is a savior."
