Story

It is the story of Sakura Kinomoto, the ten-year-old of a widowed archaeologist.
In her father's study in the basement one day, she opened an ancient book, called the Clow Book. Inside were the Clow Cards, which were magical cards that controlled the elements and the name, created by a magician named Clow Reed. They must be sealed to inside of the book, or they would bring chaos and disaster on the world. Sakura accidently released all the cards when she activated The Windy Card, creating a great gust of wind blowing all the Clow Cards away. Once the cards were released, she was confronted by the guardian of the cards, Cerberus (Keroberus in Cardcaptors), who was supposed to be guarding the cards, but had been sleeping. He makes Sakura sign a contract agreeing that she'd gather back together all the cards before they brought havoc to the world. Thus marks the beginning of Sakura the Cardcaptor. And She is not alone, there is Syaoran, who the first time met become Sakura's rival, Rival as the Card Captor and to get Yukito's attention.
