Allen Schezar makes his first appearance in Episode
2 (labelled accordingly: The Gallant 
Swordsman"),
where he rescued Hitomi from a thief. He bears a striking ressemblance
to Amano (even the same voice), which is probaby the reason Hitomi likes
him.
Although it appears that he returns Hitomi's
feelings, he doesn't really. His heart belongs to Millerna, even though
she is to be wed to another.
The other thing is is that Allen is a ladies
man. From the way he treats them, it seems as though they are goddesses
to him. He is constantly kissing hands, stroking hair, etc, etc.
Some people think that Allen has dashing good
looks and charm. I'm not sure, the charm seems almost phoney to me, and
as for that hair...
Speaking of his hair, how does he do it?
My hair, no matter what I do to it, never looks as perfect and in place
as Allens, and it's a 7th the length! He must have a great conditioner.

Allen is sometimes amused by the way Van thinks
of himself, and the way he battles. But he often finds himself amazed at
the young king's abilities, and even looks up to him now and then. (Even 
though
Allen is 6 years older).
Allen may seem confident and poised, (and cute,
says most people), but once you get past the polished exterieur, you'll
find a man who's sad and mysterious.
His mother, who loved flowers, died from grief
after his younger sister disappeared one day at 
age
5. He blames his father for what happened, even though his father had nothing
to do with it.
He is a great swordsman, and likes to protect
people.
Allen has one son (who doesn't know that Allen
is his father), Prince Chid.
